[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 25th that it is recruiting participants for the 'Financial Support Job Project' targeting employment-vulnerable groups and citizens in need of livelihood support due to COVID-19.
The Financial Support Job Project is a public job project for vulnerable groups promoted by local governments to provide basic income necessary for livelihood maintenance to low-income groups, long-term unemployed, and those who lost jobs or closed businesses due to COVID-19.
The recruitment scale is for a total of 101 people across 41 projects including public service work support, resource recycling, and environmental maintenance.
Eligibility for participation is Seo-gu residents aged 18 or older, with household income at or below 65% of the median income, combined household assets under 400 million KRW, and capable of working.
Selected participants in the Financial Support Job Project will receive a monthly salary of about 1 million KRW (hourly wage of 9,160 KRW based on 4 hours of work) and will be enrolled in the four major social insurances including health insurance.
Applications can be submitted from the 27th of this month to the 3rd of next month by visiting the administrative welfare center of the applicant’s address or the Job Center on the first floor of Seo-gu Office with an ID card.
