Sangcheol Lee, Candidate for Gokseong County Governor, Pledges "500,000 Won Happiness Allowance for a Family of Four"

Payment of Happiness Allowance is to Guarantee the Right to Happiness of County Residents

[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cha Jong-sun] Lee Sang-cheol, the Democratic Party candidate for Gokseong County Governor, announced on the 25th that he will provide an annual happiness allowance of 500,000 KRW based on a family of four as a key pledge.

Candidate Lee explained that the happiness allowance is intended to guarantee the happy rights of county residents and that by utilizing local gift certificates, it also helps solve difficulties faced by self-employed and small business owners.

He also emphasized that he will significantly expand practical and effective living conditions for residents by providing 2.2 million KRW annually to 50 youth start-up companies for start-up support and meal expenses, issuing 300,000 KRW voucher cards to female farmers, and paying a total of 5 million KRW in childbirth incentives for the first and second children.

Candidate Lee further promised to create a residential complex for a youth village where 100 young people live, and to undertake projects including ▲building a children's ecological library ▲supporting vocational training education expenses for multicultural families ▲promoting the Seomjingang River park project ▲establishing a sports town ▲laying the foundation for a smart farm innovation complex ▲constructing a multipurpose indoor gymnasium ▲and supporting laundry expenses for lodging businesses.

He stated, “I will communicate at the residents’ level, come closer step by step, and devote all my passion solely to the happiness of the residents and making Gokseong a happy place,” and appealed, “Please support the sincere and prepared Lee Sang-cheol in the upcoming June 1 local elections.”

Meanwhile, candidate Lee Sang-cheol is evaluated to have a wide and diverse network from the local to central government through decades of party activities, having served as president of the Gokseong-eup Youth Association and Gokseong Junior Chamber, secretary general of the Jeonnam Junior Chamber, secretary general of the Namdo Forum, a member and chairman of the 5th and 6th Gokseong County Council, and as the 11th Jeonnam Provincial Assembly member.
