The Integrated Care Team of Andong City will conduct a survey on allergic diseases for Atopy and Asthma Safe Schools until the 27th.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Integrated Care Team at Andong City Dementia Safety Center is supporting Atopy and Asthma Safe Schools to help students with allergic diseases live healthily and study well.
Allergy disease surveys to establish basic data on atopy and asthma are being conducted until May 27 for children in 34 selected daycare centers and kindergartens, as well as first graders and transfer students in elementary schools designated as Atopy and Asthma Safe Schools.
Based on the allergy disease survey results, patients are identified and notified to the Safe Schools. School nurses then record individual patient-specific details in management cards or life records, keep prescribed medications in the health office, and use them in case of emergencies.
Additionally, educational booklets in the form of storybooks are distributed to each household along with questionnaires so that students and parents can easily learn about atopy and asthma. Moisturizers are also provided to Safe Schools so that patients can use the moisturizers stocked in the health office.
A representative of the Integrated Care Team said, "We ask for much interest and participation in applying for and maintaining Safe Schools to create school environments where students can feel safe from allergic diseases."
