Twenty participants, including members of the Samga-myeon Residents' Council and staff from the Urban Regeneration Support Center, took part in the study tour. They visited urban regeneration project sites such as the ‘Buljong-ro Walkable Street’ and ‘Burim Urban Park and Public Parking Lot’ in the Changdong and Odong-dong areas, the ‘Changdong Art Village and Creative Craft Village,’ as well as the ‘Blossom Community Center’ and ‘Nalliblossom Market’ in Yeoja-dong.
Since being selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Urban Regeneration New Deal Project in 2019, Samga-myeon has been promoting the ‘Wakjajikkeol Samgasamsim’ urban regeneration revitalization project. They have completed projects such as ‘Samga Stay Meomuldaga,’ ‘Customer Parking Lot,’ and ‘Alleyway Maintenance Project,’ and are pursuing sustainable urban regeneration led by residents through capacity-building projects like the ‘Samga Korean Beef Brand UP Project.’
Chairman Park Sang-do said, “Reviewing the urban regeneration project was very helpful in setting the direction for the future, and we will make efforts in various areas such as urban regeneration resident capacity-building projects and social cooperative education.”
