Submission of Reconsideration Petition to Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office on the 24th
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] Victims of the Lime Asset Management redemption suspension incident are strongly demanding a reinvestigation by the prosecution into Daishin Securities.
The Daishin Securities Lime Fraud Victims Countermeasure Committee held a press conference at 11 a.m. on the 24th in front of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office, stating, "Daishin Securities, which acted as a reservoir for the Lime fraud, must be thoroughly investigated and punished."
On this day, the committee stated in a press release, "Daishin Securities is like a gateway to approaching the substance of this incident," and claimed, "It is a massive fraud scheme created by leading financial companies such as Daishin Securities, which nurtured Lime Asset Management and funneled funds to it."
They continued, "Financial fraud criminals and those in power gathered at the reservoir called Daishin Securities to design and orchestrate the Lime incident," and criticized, "The Southern District Prosecutors' Office recently covered up a series of Lime cases related to Daishin Securities by dismissing them due to insufficient evidence just before the inauguration of Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon."
The committee also pointed out, "The Financial Supervisory Service, the regulatory agency, confirmed the illegality and imposed disciplinary actions, and the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office clearly pointed out these issues, so the details of the crime have already been revealed," adding, "It can only be seen as an urgent and forced attempt to shut the door to Daishin Securities, which contains a lot of information about the substance of this incident."
Earlier, the Financial Investigation Division 2 of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Rak-hyun) recently dismissed the case against Daishin Securities, former Center Director Jang, and executives on charges including violation of the Electronic Financial Transactions Act due to insufficient evidence.
Jeong Gu-jip, co-representative of the countermeasure committee, emphasized, "We hope that Yang Seok-jo, the newly appointed head of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office, and the Joint Investigation Team on Financial and Securities Crimes will promptly conduct a reinvestigation into Daishin Securities."
Meanwhile, immediately after the press conference, the committee submitted a petition for reconsideration to the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office demanding a reinvestigation of Daishin Securities.
