Korea Pharmbio Appoints Vice Presidents Cha Hanguk and Park Hongsun

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Korea Pharmbio announced on the 24th that it has recruited Vice President Chae Hanguk for the R&D division and Vice President Park Hongsun for the sales division.

Vice President Chae graduated from Sungkyunkwan University College of Pharmacy and worked at Korea Schering (now Bayer Korea), HanAll Biopharma, and Aju Pharm before recently serving as Vice President in charge of development at Aging Life Science and Biopharma. He is an R&D expert with over 30 years of experience, having launched Korea's first complex drug using double salts, the immediate-release PPI formulation 'Zerosid,' and developed Korea's first 'Eperisone sustained-release tablet.'

Vice President Park graduated from Konkuk University and served as Head of Marketing at Dong-A Pharmaceutical and Head of Sales at Chong Kun Dang. Based on nearly 40 years of hospital and clinic sales experience, he leads Korea Pharmbio's sales division alongside Director Lee Byung-chul.

Additionally, Executive Director Jung Hyun-jung of the development division was promoted to Head of the Development Planning Headquarters. Director Jung graduated from Daegu Catholic University College of Pharmacy, worked at Kwangdong Pharmaceutical, and has served at Korea Pharmbio for 23 years. She will be responsible for the research institute and development planning areas going forward.

Nam Bong-gil, Chairman of Korea Pharmbio, stated, “We plan to focus more on securing self-developed improved new drugs and overseas blockbuster pharmaceuticals.” He added, “Through this personnel appointment, we hope to continuously supply Korea Pharmbio’s excellent pharmaceuticals domestically and internationally by creating synergy between the R&D and sales divisions.”
