[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] POSCO Engineering & Construction will permanently exhibit a model house applying remodeling-optimized units.
On the 24th, POSCO Engineering & Construction announced that it has developed a ‘remodeling-optimized unit design’ that maximizes the satisfaction of association members by reflecting the characteristics of remodeling using existing structures. The developed unit is applied to a dedicated model house at ‘The Shop Gallery’ in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and will be exhibited permanently. In the model house, visitors can see a residential space originally about 30 pyeong (approximately 99 square meters) expanded to about 40 pyeong (approximately 132 square meters) after remodeling.
It features a spacious living room, an open kitchen, glass railing functional windows, a coffered ceiling with specialized lighting, entrance storage, and utility room storage, creating an open and comfortable space with sophisticated design and high-end finishes.
Since 2014, POSCO Engineering & Construction has established a dedicated remodeling department and has secured orders for a total of 25 complexes, amounting to approximately 4.6 trillion KRW. It has also recorded the number one market share in the industry. Since early this year, it has established a ‘1st Generation New Town Order Promotion Team’ to strengthen sales efforts for remodeling projects in first-generation new towns such as Bundang, Ilsan, and Pyeongchon, where 30 years since occupancy are approaching.
Building on the completion of ‘Gaepo The Shop Trie’ in December last year, POSCO Engineering & Construction plans to expand orders in the Seoul area and actively participate in prime projects centered on metropolitan cities such as Busan and Changwon.
A POSCO Engineering & Construction official said, “Based on the construction experience of the recently completed Gaepo Trie and numerous ongoing projects such as Songpa Seongji and Dunchon Hyundai 1st Complex, we will continue efforts to realize a better residential culture through the development of remodeling-optimized floor plans and the permanent exhibition of model houses.”
