[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hanwha Life Insurance announced on the 24th that it will hold the "18th Hanwha Life 63 Stair Climbing" event for one month from the 3rd to the 30th of next month.

The Hanwha Life 63 Stair Climbing is a unique marathon event that involves climbing the height of the 63 Building, 249 meters, and this year it will be held non-face-to-face through the 'Run Day' application.

The untact 63 Stair Climbing allows participants to use the GPS application (Run Day) during the event period to climb stairs at any desired location, and their records are automatically measured and certified.

Participants can achieve the goal simply by running the app anywhere they want, not necessarily at the 63 Building.

Participants can reach their goal by climbing 249 meters, equivalent to the height of the 63 Building, which is 1,251 stairs. Upon successful completion of the challenge, they will receive a coupon for one Starbucks Americano. The coupon is limited to the first 2,000 participants.

In addition, by paying a participation fee of 10,000 KRW, participants can join a paid challenge. The entire participation fee will be donated upon completion of the paid challenge, and the donation will be used to support breakfast for undernourished children through World Vision.

Everyone who climbs more than 20 meters (approximately the height of a 7-story apartment) will receive a 20,000 KRW mobile gift certificate from Shinsegae. The paid challenge is limited to the first 630 participants.

Applications can be submitted by downloading the 'Run Day' application by the 19th of next month.

The Best Pose Award will also be prepared this year. Participants can upload unique certification photos, and during the challenge period, three winners will be drawn weekly to receive a two-person meal voucher for Walking on the Cloud.

Choi Hyunkyung, head of Hanwha Life’s Brand Strategy Team, said, “The ‘Hanwha Life 63 Stair Climbing,’ now in its 18th year, is meaningful because although participants climb stairs at their preferred locations due to COVID-19, they can still connect through social network services (SNS). It will be a 63 Stair Climbing event that practices sharing through donations, maintains health, and adds fun.”
