Andong Disabled Welfare Center and Andong Jungang Saemaeul Geumgo, Agreement to Support Local Disabled People

Andong Disabled Persons Comprehensive Welfare Center and Andong Jungang Saemaeul Geumgo signed a business agreement ceremony on the 23rd.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Andong Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled, operated under the Korea Buddhist Jogye Order Social Welfare Foundation, signed a business agreement with Andong Jungang Saemaeul Geumgo on the 23rd and received a donation worth 2 million KRW.

The business agreement ceremony was held to promote continuous cooperation for the "welfare improvement and enhancement of local people with disabilities."

The two organizations agreed to cooperate from a comprehensive perspective on disability welfare to address community issues, including respect for the right to life of people with disabilities, family and living support, cultural and educational support, rights protection and independent living, community organization, and social integration.

Gwon Ogwan, Chairman of Andong Jungang Saemaeul Geumgo, said, "I hope this will be an opportunity for people with disabilities to lead healthy and happy lives, and I will strive to spread sharing further."

Chairman Gwon also stated, "I hope this will be a valuable first step as a new model for our society to move toward an integrated society without discrimination between people with and without disabilities."
