[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Park Byeong-il, a mechanic of the cargo transport helicopter that crashed on Seonjasan Mountain in Geoje, Gyeongnam on the 16th, donated his organs before passing away.

Due to the accident that day, Park suffered severe head injuries and was transferred to the Regional Trauma Center at Busan National University Hospital but never regained consciousness.

The family, watching their 35-year-old son declared brain dead, decided to donate his organs.

As soon as he graduated from high school, he obtained aviation-related certifications and served as a non-commissioned officer in the Army Aviation Unit, supporting his modest family.

He was a son who, based on the maintenance experience he accumulated during seven years of military service, worked as a mechanic and traveled busily across the country according to helicopter rental schedules, always thinking of his family.

Before the accident, he excitedly said, "I will return in just a week," but he welcomed his family in the intensive care unit.

He was the only remaining son after losing his eldest daughter seven years ago.

The parents, watching their son continue life relying on medical equipment, wished to save other lives.

On the 19th, Park donated his heart, liver, and kidneys to four people, and his parents laid their son to rest in their hearts.

"Our son, although borrowing another person's body far away, is living there." The parents wanted to save their son in any way possible.
