[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 23rd that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Financial Consumer Academy to advance financial consumer protection education.


The two organizations will newly revise and jointly develop the 'KB Financial Consumer Protection Education' program through verification and review by the Korea Financial Consumer Academy. Through this, starting in June, financial consumer protection education will be conducted for all KB Kookmin Bank employees.


The revised KB Financial Consumer Protection Education program introduces the Financial Consumer Protection Act and related systems focusing on consumer rights, and enhances content related to the ethics of financial professionals to reflect current standards. It also introduces specific response methods based on the latest cases related to new types of fraud.


In addition to KB Kookmin Bank employees, the two organizations plan to jointly develop educational content targeting financially vulnerable groups such as the elderly and people with disabilities.
