[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Kim Ki-hyun, Co-Chairman of the People Power Party's Local Election Joint Campaign Committee, criticized on the 23rd, saying, "The fact that the Democratic Party of Korea has already put forward the three presidential election losers who have been judged by the people as the overall leadership for the local elections is the height of arrogance."

On the same day at the local election campaign headquarters, Chairman Kim said, "The Democratic Party is emotionally denying the presidential election results, shouting a psychological victory that the Democratic Party did not lose the presidential election, and arrogantly refusing to acknowledge President Yoon Seok-yeol, who was elected by the people."

He pointed out, "Candidate Lee Jae-myung, who fled from Gyeonggi Province immediately after the presidential election defeat to wear a bulletproof vest and took refuge in what the Democratic Party calls a warm sanctuary; Candidate Song Young-gil, who was the party leader of the Democratic Party at the time and was in charge of the defeated presidential election but fled from Incheon to run for Seoul mayor instead of taking responsibility; and Chairman Yoon Ho-jung, who should have taken responsibility as the floor leader during the defeated presidential election but instead was promoted to become the Democratic Party's emergency committee chairman. The Democratic Party, which has put forward such overall leadership, is still intoxicated with nostalgia for the past and has become a Galapagos party disconnected from public sentiment, wielding the overwhelming majority of parliamentary seats as a weapon," he said.

He continued, "It is only natural for the people to wield the whip of judgment against the Democratic Party, where the irresponsible General Campaign Chairman Huanbuchi, the fake news Seoul mayoral candidate, and the flip-flopping emergency committee chairman are thriving," and added, "Please help so that the Yoon Seok-yeol government can work."
