Through promotional activities held at the Line 2nd Apartment Senior Citizens' Center, they explained response measures for different types of voice phishing damage and prevention of theft damage during late-night hours.
This activity was carried out to prevent recent occurrences of telephone financial fraud (voice phishing) and theft, which have caused serious harm to the livelihoods of ordinary people.
They also explained recent methods (such as inducing cash withdrawals and directly receiving the stolen money, shifting to face-to-face extortion) and urged people to promptly report to the police station if they receive similar calls.
A representative of the Dosan Police Substation stated, “We will continue promotional activities by visiting 35 senior citizens' centers in the jurisdiction, strive to minimize voice phishing and theft damage, and conduct continuous patrols in vulnerable areas within the jurisdiction.”
