[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Shin Hak-cheol, Vice Chairman of LG Chem, will participate in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos (Davos Forum) for the second consecutive year to discuss climate crisis response measures with global leaders.

LG Chem announced that Vice Chairman Shin will attend the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland, for five days starting from the 22nd. Last year, Vice Chairman Shin participated in the 'Climate Change Response Measures Session' during Davos Agenda Week, and this year he will attend a total of four sessions and more than ten CEO meetings between companies.

Vice Chairman Shin, who will participate as a panelist in the 'How to Win the Net Zero Race' session on the 25th, plans to share LG Chem's role and strategy for achieving net zero. He is expected to convey the message that the scope of carbon reduction should be expanded beyond reducing carbon emissions at existing business sites to include the entire process from direct product manufacturing to suppliers, logistics systems, and product disposal.

Vice Chairman Shin said, "Responding to climate change is no longer a problem that can be postponed; it is a matter for all humanity as well as a standard for customers and markets," adding, "LG Chem will take the lead in global corporate efforts to respond to climate change, including reducing carbon emissions throughout all supply chains related to our business."
