[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunwoo Lee] A tornado that struck northern Michigan in the United States caused two deaths and extensive property damage.

According to CNN on the 21st (local time), two people were killed and 44 injured by the tornado in Michigan. The tornado, which hit the small town of Gaylord in Michigan the previous afternoon, caused greater damage as it passed through a park densely populated with mobile homes. The two deceased were both in their 70s and lived in mobile homes, according to state authorities. In addition to the casualties, one person is reported missing.

The tornado destroyed 95% of the mobile home community in the area, and caused significant damage including roofs and walls being torn off several buildings and cars being overturned. In Gaylord alone, 6,500 households remain without power.
