‘Korea International Agricultural Machinery Expo’ Confirmed to be Held in Daegu ... Participation from 30 Countries The "2022 Korea International Agricultural Machinery Expo" held for four days from November 2 to 5 at Daegu EXCO.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] The "Korea International Agricultural Machinery Expo," which has been held biennially in Seoul and Cheonan for 30 years since 1992, will be held this year for four days from November 2 to 5 at Daegu EXCO.


Hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and organized by Daegu City, the Korea Agricultural Machinery Industry Cooperative, and Nongmin Newspaper, the exhibition features about 450 companies from 30 countries with a total of 2,200 booths.


Additionally, various side events such as the Export and Buyer Support Center operation, International Agricultural Machinery Symposium, Used Agricultural Machinery Auction, experiences, and events will be held.


Especially this year, as it is held in Daegu, known as a "robot industry hub city," the "Agricultural Robot Competition" will be held for the first time.


Targeting domestic agricultural university students, the competition plans to evaluate autonomous driving using robots and agricultural task performance abilities to select grand prize, excellence award, and merit award winners.


The exhibition is composed of domestic and overseas company pavilions, a special pavilion for advanced agricultural machinery, future agriculture, and forestry pavilions.


Exhibits by field such as open-field agriculture, fruit trees, and facility horticulture, as well as advanced agricultural machinery like smart farm facilities and autonomous tractors, newly designated agricultural and forestry machinery with new technologies, and female-friendly small agricultural machinery will be showcased inside EXCO and at the outdoor exhibition hall.


Furthermore, to increase exports for participating companies, an export and buyer support center will be operated to facilitate consultations with buyers, and seminars on activating facility horticulture exports by the Korea Agricultural and Fishery Farmers Newspaper and the Korea Facility Horticulture Council will also be held.


Mayor Kwon Young-jin said, "As Daegu City is hosting a large-scale international agricultural machinery expo for the first time, we will do our best to organize an exhibition where the present and future of the agricultural machinery industry can be seen in one place."
