Yeongsangang Regional Environmental Office Operates On-site Land Purchase Civil Service Office

Yeongsangang Regional Environmental Office Operates On-site Land Purchase Civil Service Office

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office announced that from the 23rd to the 25th, it will operate a 'Visiting Land Purchase On-site Civil Service Office' at the Mundeok-myeon, Boknae-myeon, and Yureo-myeon offices in Boseong-gun, Jeonnam, to provide convenience to local residents living in the land purchase project target areas.

The land purchase project is a program that has been promoted since 2003 to improve the water quality of drinking water sources by purchasing pollution sources located upstream of the five major metropolitan water sources and creating and managing waterside green spaces, thereby realizing the government's carbon neutrality values.

The on-site civil service office is an administrative service aimed at minimizing residents' inconveniences such as mobility difficulties due to aging, lack of information, and difficulties in filling out sales application forms, and actively purchasing pollution sources.

The areas where the on-site civil service office will operate have been selected around three priority management rivers (Mundeokcheon, Boknaecheon, Yureocheon) with high pollution inflow loads within the Juamho watershed, and additional operations are planned in the second half of the year in Gwangyang-si, Jangheung-gun, and Gangjin-gun.

In detail, staff responsible for land purchase and post-management will open a consultation desk on-site to provide one-on-one one-stop services from consultation, application, to reception, while also handling civil complaints regarding inconveniences related to the purchased land.
