Korea Securities Depository Nanum Foundation Holds Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony


[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The Korea Securities Depository (KSD) Sharing Foundation announced on the 19th that it selected 55 new recipients for the ‘KSD Dream Fulfillment Scholarship’ on the 18th and held a scholarship certificate awarding ceremony for the selected students.


The KSD Sharing Foundation operates the KSD Dream Fulfillment Scholarship program, which provides scholarships to students from vulnerable groups, and the “KSD Dream Growth Scholarship” program, aimed at enhancing economic and financial knowledge among specialized high school students.


The KSD Dream Fulfillment Scholarship program conducted this time selected scholarship recipients by receiving nationwide recommendations from the social welfare organization ‘Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation’ and evaluating factors such as income level and academic achievement.


Selected scholarship recipients will receive annual scholarships ranging from 1.8 million to 3.6 million KRW for elementary, middle, and high school students, and 4 million KRW annually for university students until graduation. Including the newly selected recipients this year, a total of 216 scholarship students are expected to receive approximately 440 million KRW in scholarships.


Through the Dream Fulfillment Scholarship program, the KSD Sharing Foundation has selected 987 scholarship recipients and provided 6.4 billion KRW in scholarships to support students who strive to do their best despite difficult circumstances so they can focus on their studies.
