Support for Welfare Projects from Fundraising Amounts

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Hansangwon · Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on the 19th that it has signed a joint fundraising agreement with the Gwangju Jeonnam branch of the Korean Red Cross (Branch Manager Heo Jeong) to solve local community problems and promote welfare development.

Joint fundraising refers to collective fundraising conducted by social welfare organizations and fundraising associations that are experiencing difficulties in conducting independent fundraising activities. The raised funds are used to support welfare projects needed by the institutions.

The Gwangju Jeonnam branch of the Korean Red Cross planned a fundraising campaign to support meal services for marginalized vulnerable groups and mutual support for small business owners.

The fundraising will continue until the 30th of next month. After the fundraising ends, lunch boxes and emergency food sets will be provided to neighbors in need for six months as part of welfare projects.
