[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gui-yeol] The Gyeongbuk Provincial Fire Headquarters has mobilized all available firefighting resources to implement special fire safety measures for the safe and successful hosting of the 16th National Disabled Students Sports Festival and the 51st National Youth Sports Festival, which have been held in Gumi City since the 17th.
From March 22 to April 29, the Fire Headquarters conducted special fire inspections of event-related facilities, including the main stadium and venues for each sport, to check the safety management status of fire facilities, hazardous materials, electricity, and gas, and completed the removal of risk factors and correction of deficiencies.
At the main stadium, Gumi Citizen Stadium, an on-site safety control fire situation room and a mobile 119 Safety Center have been established to comprehensively coordinate and command fire safety during the event.
For the opening ceremony, fire pump trucks and 119 ambulances were stationed nearby to ensure thorough preparedness for various accidents that may occur at the stadium.
Fire pump trucks and 119 ambulances are positioned close to each other to prepare for safety accidents.
Additionally, a mobile safety experience vehicle has been deployed to enhance crisis response capabilities through hands-on experiences for visiting residents, and fire safety education for emergency preparedness is being conducted concurrently for game operation staff and related personnel.
Lee Young-pal, head of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Fire Headquarters, stated, “We plan to mobilize all available firefighting resources to support the successful execution of the National Youth and Disabled Students Sports Festivals, and we will make every effort to ensure a safe event.”
