[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Woori Bank announced on the 18th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Climate and Environment Network to achieve '2050 Carbon Neutrality.'
The Korea Climate and Environment Network is an environmental governance organization involving 57 organizations, including the Ministry of Environment. It promotes projects aimed at realizing a low-carbon, eco-friendly society through public-private cooperation, including greenhouse gas reduction.
The agreement ceremony held the previous day was conducted using digital banners and tablets. Woori Bank will promote ▲ joint projects for the transition to a carbon-neutral society ▲ consulting and joint campaigns for greenhouse gas reduction ▲ joint social contribution projects to fulfill social responsibility.
Lee Won-duk, President of Woori Bank, stated, “Transitioning to a low-carbon, eco-friendly society is essential to respond to the climate crisis threatening human survival,” and added, “We will do our best to fulfill our role as a financial institution to realize a 2050 carbon-neutral society.”
