[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Pulmuone Foods announced on the 18th that the cumulative sales of its soup, stew, and jjigae home meal replacement (HMR) brand 'Bandeuthan Sik' and broth product 'Yori Yuksu' have exceeded 2 million units. This sales volume covers the six months from November last year, when the products were distributed, following the launch of 10 types of Bandeuthan Sik and Yori Yuksu in October last year.
Bandeuthan Sik features rich broth with plenty of solid ingredients, resulting in high quality satisfaction and sensory satisfaction comparable to that of specialty restaurants. Additionally, the product's sodium content is reduced by more than 25% compared to similar food types, reflecting attention to consumer health. Yori Yuksu allows consumers to easily complete various dishes by pouring it directly without adding water or seasoning separately, which is a key factor driving repurchases.
Pulmuone plans to further enhance the quality of Bandeuthan Sik and Yori Yuksu, and to strengthen brand awareness by introducing additional Bandeuthan Sik menu items in the second half of this year. In the future, the company intends to expand the Bandeuthan Sik brand beyond soups, stews, jjigae, and broths to include all HMR cooking categories, nurturing it as a specialized Korean food brand.
