[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] A suspect in his 30s who fled after killing a store owner in his 40s with a weapon at a motorcycle shop in Incheon was found dead.

On the 17th, Bupyeong Police Station in Incheon announced that they discovered the deceased suspect A, in his 30s, in a mountain area in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province, at around 4:25 p.m. that day.

Earlier, A was accused of killing the store owner B, in his 40s, at a motorcycle shop in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, at around 1:19 a.m. the previous day and fleeing the scene.

According to the investigation, A, who held a grudge against B over financial issues, committed the crime when the victim was alone inside the store. Immediately after the crime, A posted on an online community, stating, "Four years ago, I was defrauded of 200 million and 300 million won at the store operated by the victim. I am going to take revenge and make an extreme choice."

B suffered severe injuries to his neck and abdomen and was transported to a nearby hospital but ultimately passed away. Police, who identified A as the suspect, found him in the mountain area of Gapyeong-gun while investigating the escape route through closed-circuit television (CCTV) around the crime scene.

The police plan to investigate the specific circumstances of the case, including requesting autopsies of A and B’s bodies from the National Forensic Service.
