Gwangju Seo-gu Health Center to Resume General Services Including Medical Treatment from the 23rd

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The Seo-gu Public Health Center in Gwangju Metropolitan City will resume general medical services and the issuance of various certificates, which had been suspended for over two years since the outbreak of COVID-19, starting from the 23rd, following the decrease in COVID-19 cases and the adjustment of the infectious disease classification to level 2.

According to Seo-gu on the 17th, the Seo-gu Public Health Center will provide services including clinical pathology tests, radiological examinations, Korean medicine, dental treatment, and the issuance of health certificates (health cards) and driver's license aptitude tests from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

However, internal medicine face-to-face consultations will be available only from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the time being.

For the issuance of certificates, processing times vary depending on the type of certificate, so it is necessary to check in advance before visiting.

A representative of the Seo-gu Public Health Center stated, "With the resumption of medical and certificate issuance services, we expect to alleviate the inconveniences residents have experienced due to service suspensions caused by COVID-19," and added, "We will continue to strive to be a public health center that prioritizes the health promotion of residents."
