Marvel's 'Doctor Strange 2' Surpasses 5 Million in 14 Days

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The Marvel movie 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' has been watched by 5 million viewers.

According to the Korea Film Council's integrated box office data as of 7 a.m. on the 17th, 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' has accumulated 5,009,546 viewers. This achievement was reached just 14 days after its release.

This ties the record set by last year's highest-grossing film, 'Spider-Man: No Way Home.' Among releases in the past three years, it has broken the record for the highest advance ticket sales and the highest opening score, and has gained popularity by surpassing the 5 million mark in just 14 days.

Director Sam Raimi conveyed through a video message, "Korean fans, I just heard amazing news," and added, "Thank you for loving the movie. I am happy to share this moment with you."

Released on the 4th, 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' is a supernatural thriller blockbuster depicting the first-ever endless dimensional rifts and tangled space-time in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), set within a multiverse of madness beyond all imagination. The cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Rachel McAdams.
