[Asia Economy Reporter Ji Yeon-jin] Mirae Asset Securities announced on the 17th that it has signed a mutual business agreement (MOU) with the school corporation Kwangwoon Academy to strengthen various collaborative relationships between the financial investment company and the school corporation.
The signing ceremony took place on the 16th at Kwangwoon University's Hwado Hall, attended by Mirae Asset Securities Chairman Choi Hyun-man, Kwangwoon Academy Chairman Cho Sun-young, and key representatives from both Mirae Asset Securities and Kwangwoon Academy.
Through this business agreement, Mirae Asset Securities plans to support financial education aimed at establishing a sound investment culture among the faculty and students of Kwangwoon Academy (Kwangwoon University, Kwangwoon Artificial Intelligence High School, Kwangwoon Middle School, Namdaemun Middle School, Kwangwoon Elementary School), as well as personal asset management and retirement preparation. This will further strengthen various collaborative relationships between the financial investment company and the school corporation.
In particular, based on the Financial Supervisory Service’s One Company One School financial education experience, Mirae Asset Securities will conduct customized financial education investment programs to help students establish correct financial investment concepts. Additionally, through collaboration with the Mirae Asset Investment and Pension Center, one-on-one consulting will be provided to faculty members to offer practical assistance in preparing for a stable retirement according to their remaining retirement period.
Chairman Choi Hyun-man of Mirae Asset Securities stated, “Mirae Asset, as a global investment specialist group, will actively support the necessary financial education to contribute to building a proper investment culture and stable asset management for all members of Kwangwoon Academy.” He added, “Mirae Asset Securities will continue to do its best to establish a sound investment culture in South Korea.”
Chairman Cho Sun-young of Kwangwoon Academy said, “With Mirae Asset Securities’ systematic financial education support, the faculty of Kwangwoon Academy will have an opportunity to prepare for retirement stably through rational investment methods and asset management, and students will have a foundation to grow into responsible economic actors.” She added, “Kwangwoon Academy will continue to be a warm educational institution where members respect and care for each other, creating future-oriented values and growing as a prestigious educational institution.”
Meanwhile, since 2015, Mirae Asset Securities has formed One Company One School financial education partnerships with 390 elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide, conducting various financial education programs under the slogan “Practicing Warm Capitalism with Consideration.” It is the only securities company to have been selected twice consecutively as an excellent institution for educational donations.
