[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Noroo Paint announced on the 17th that it has joined the crime prevention infrastructure project "Women’s Safe Alley" led by Anyang Manan Police Station and carried out jointly by local public, private, and social sectors.

In this project, Noroo Paint provided paint and related materials necessary for mural painting and offered consultation on painting techniques. The Cupid exterior water-based paint supplied by Noroo Paint is highly durable and water-repellent, making it an optimal paint for outdoor murals.

This project was meaningfully conducted with the participation of local community members, including the local mothers’ volunteer crime prevention squad. Additionally, students from the Visual Design Department of Yeonseong University designed murals and logoprojector drafts that create psychological stability and took part in the painting work, drawing attention.

As part of the active CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) initiative by Anyang Manan Police Station, the Women’s Safe Alley is being established around Exit 1 of Gwanak Station. The CPTED project analyzes the environmental relationships among offenders, victims, and crime locations to directly prevent crime and reduce crime anxiety by creating defensible spaces against crime.

The Women’s Safe Alley project is a community crime prevention activity where the police, local governments, and residents collaboratively identify and improve issues from various perspectives to prevent crime. It was carried out to enable dynamic crime prevention design.

A Noroo Paint official stated, "We continuously engage in social contribution activities in cooperation with Anyang Manan Police Station for the development of the Anyang area where our headquarters is located," adding, "We will continue activities with public and private sectors to ensure safety and secure living spaces around us."
