The KODEX US ETF Industry Top10 Indxx ETF is a product that invests in the long-term growing ETF industry. The ETF industry is an innovative financial product known as the 'greatest invention of the 20th century.' As of last year, the global ETF AUM reached approximately 10 trillion USD (about 1,200 trillion KRW). The ETF market is experiencing a high growth trend of around 19% annually due to advantages such as low management fees, transparency, and convenience. It continues to expand through diversification of products beyond index types to active, thematic, and absolute return types.

The underlying index is the ‘Indxx US ETF Industry Top10 Index’ calculated by the Indian index provider 'Indxx,' composed of the top 10 companies with high market shares within the ETF industry, including ETF asset managers, index providers, exchanges, and data providers. The ‘KODEX China Metaverse Active ETF’ is the world’s first ETF investing in metaverse-related companies across the Greater China region, including China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. China holds a 30% share of the global manufacturing market and is rapidly expanding its share in device manufacturing and semiconductor sectors, which are essential elements of the metaverse ecosystem. The benchmark index is the Bloomberg Greater China Media & Tech Index, which includes the top 40 companies by market capitalization related to the metaverse within the Bloomberg Industry Classification Standard (BICS) among companies in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Representative stocks include TSMC (8.7%), Alibaba Group Holding (8.4%), Tencent Holdings (7.6%), and Meituan (6.8%).

Samsung Asset Management has selected its Hong Kong branch as the advisor for the new KODEX China Metaverse Active ETF, strengthening collaboration with overseas entities. Through close cooperation with local asset management experts, Samsung plans to actively utilize its unique asset management know-how and infrastructure.

Im Taehyuk, Head of ETF Management at Samsung Asset Management, stated, "Through the China Metaverse Active ETF, investors can invest in the metaverse market with a lineup of three countries leading the global metaverse market: Korea (content), the US (platform), and China (device), according to their preferences."
