LG Electronics Launches Window-Type Air Conditioner 'Whisen Objet Collection Edge'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] LG Electronics announced on the 17th that it has launched the window-type air conditioner 'LG Whisen Objet Collection Edge,' featuring a design perfectly suited for domestic windows and excellent cooling performance.

The 'LG Whisen Objet Collection Edge' places the air intake on the front, allowing the product to be installed on the outside of double-glazed windows, minimizing air conditioner protrusion and enabling the use of blinds or curtains. Conventional window-type air conditioners have air intakes on the sides, requiring installation inside the double-glazed window for cooling to function, resulting in the product protruding into the room.

The new product applies calming beige and cream white colors, carefully selected by experts from the Objet Collection, harmonizing with any interior. An optional finishing kit is also available to cover the gap between the installation kit exposed at the top of the product and the window frame for a cleaner installation.

According to tests by the internationally accredited testing and certification body TUV Rheinland, the new product perfectly blocks rain from entering indoors, making it safe to use even during the rainy season. Additionally, its seamless design prevents insects from entering.

The 'LG Whisen Objet Collection Edge' is a top-tier energy efficiency product manufactured directly by LG Electronics in Changwon, Korea. It is equipped with a dual inverter compressor with two cylinders compressing the refrigerant, delivering excellent cooling performance and energy efficiency. The maximum cooling mode, Ice Cool Power, lowers the temperature about 24% faster than the strong wind mode, and the low-noise mode achieves a quiet cooling level of 34 dB, even quieter than a library's 40 dB.

It also features an AI drying function that analyzes product usage time to set the optimal drying time to remove moisture inside the product. Furthermore, it offers a maximum daily dehumidification capacity of 34 liters, larger than a large-capacity 20-liter dehumidifier, keeping indoor spaces comfortable even during the humid rainy season.

The price ranges from 1,050,000 to 1,300,000 KRW based on cooling area and whether the finishing kit is included.
