Park Wan-joo 'Sexual Misconduct Allegation' Victim Files Complaint with Police

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] The victim in the sexual misconduct allegations against independent lawmaker Park Wanju directly filed a complaint with the police against him.

According to the police on the 16th, the victim's side submitted a complaint to the Women and Youth Division of the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul, requesting punishment for lawmaker Park.

The complaint reportedly includes charges such as forcible molestation by abuse of authority, abuse of power, and defamation by spreading false information.

Aside from the fact that the sexual misconduct allegations against lawmaker Park occurred late last year, no specific details have been disclosed. The Democratic Party did not reveal detailed information to prevent secondary harm and to protect the victim.

On the same day, the Democratic Party held a party meeting and passed a resolution to expel lawmaker Park. In a message sent to reporters the previous day, lawmaker Park expressed his intention to dispute the facts, stating, "No matter what sacrifices and pains there are, what is not true is not true."
