Shinsegae Sior Gangnam Station Branch Renovated After 5 Years... "Playground for MZ Generation" On the 17th, customers are purchasing products on the first floor of Chicor Gangnam Station branch in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Shinsegae Department Store announced on the 16th that the flagship store of Chicor at Gangnam Station will reopen after renovation for the first time in 5 years.


At this store, various experiential contents tailored to the tastes of the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) are introduced. Each of the three floors with a sales area of 1061㎡ (approximately 321 pyeong) is themed and equipped with personal color diagnosis, nail care services, a luxury niche perfume zone, and a cosmetics outlet corner.


The 2nd floor features a Makeup Curation Zone where customers can try makeup products that match their personal color, a Skincare Solutions Zone to compare products according to skin concerns, a Green Beauty Zone gathering vegan and naturalism products, a Bath & Fragrance Zone offering bath bombs and diffusers, and a Leisure & Healing Beauty Zone with aroma care. Chicor Color Studio offers personal color diagnosis and consulting on matching makeup, hair color, and fashion styles, and Chicor Nail Bar provides nail care experiences.


The 1st floor is arranged with the currently hottest luxury niche perfume zone. Brands such as Hermes Parfums, Santa Maria Novella, Jo Loves, Memo, DS & Durga, and Goutal Paris are housed, and a Gift Zone offering packaging services for combined purchases over 30,000 KRW is also introduced.


The basement 1st floor presents an outlet space for value-conscious customers. Chicor Market, introduced for the first time at Chicor, offers discounts of up to 70% regularly. A separate zone for the SNS popular brand D Ordinary is also set up. In the hair care area, customers can have their scalp and hair condition diagnosed by experts, and self-bar experiences and head spa services are available.


To commemorate this renovation, customers who purchase over 50,000 KRW will receive a pouch made by the color specialist brand Pantone on a first-come, first-served basis. For luxury niche perfume purchases over 100,000 KRW, a price discount benefit of 15,000 KRW is also provided.


A Shinsegae Department Store official said, “Chicor Gangnam Station has transformed into a space where various experiences tailored to the MZ generation’s tastes are possible through the first renewal in 5 years,” adding, “Rather than competing through traditional price discount methods, we will establish Chicor as a true beauty platform with differentiated beauty services and content unique to Chicor.”
