Bae Insu, Former Gwangju Seo-gu Office Chief Candidate, Declares Support for Candidate Kim Igang

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Bae Insu, a former candidate who ran for the mayor of Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City in the June 1 local elections but lost in the Democratic Party primary, has come out in support of candidate Kim Igang.


According to Kim Igang’s campaign office on the 16th, former candidate Bae visited the campaign office that day and said, “I will unite with the 'One Team Spirit' for the victory of the Democratic Party.”


At the event, former Seo-gu mayor Lim Woojin (Kim Igang’s campaign advisory committee permanent advisor) and about 30 people who had supported former candidate Bae were present.


Former candidate Bae stated, “Seo-gu needs capable and young leadership for change and development,” adding, “I will join hands with candidate Kim Igang to pull from the front and push from behind to create momentum for a new future and pleasant change in Seo-gu.”


Candidate Kim Igang said, “A great force to cooperate and unite for Seo-gu’s development has arrived. I sincerely thank and welcome them,” and added, “Riding this momentum with the Democratic Party’s One Team Spirit, we will definitely plant the victory flag in our Seo-gu on June 1.”


Earlier, on the 9th, former candidate Hwang Hyuntaek, who participated in the Democratic Party primary, also declared support for candidate Kim Igang and joined the Change Camp as a permanent campaign committee member, playing a pivotal role.
