Gyeongbok University Lifelong Education College Opens National Drone Certification Course

[Asia Economy (Namyangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Kyungbok University College of Continuing Education has launched a national drone certification course.

Kyungbok University recently announced on the 15th that it opened the 'National Drone Certification Course (Type 3)' as part of the Namyangju City N+ Life Skills School project, with 18 trainees and guests attending at the Namyangju Campus ChungHyogwan.

The Namyangju City N+ Life Skills School is a collaborative project between Namyangju City and Kyungbok University College of Continuing Education to help citizens enhance their employment and entrepreneurship capabilities and develop skills to realize multiple career paths in life.

This national drone certification course was established to support the 40s to 60s generation in pursuing multiple career paths by strengthening employment capabilities for stable social settlement of the middle-aged population in the local community in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The main training contents include ▲Understanding drones ▲Education on the revised Aviation Safety Act ▲Practice-oriented training for obtaining national drone certification ▲Practical flight and aerial photography exercises.

The training will be conducted over six weeks (a total of 72 hours) at Kyungbok University Namyangju Campus until June 25.

Yoon Young-hoon, Dean of Kyungbok University College of Continuing Education, emphasized, "This course will expand the base of the drone industry, which is usually difficult to access, and serve as an opportunity to strengthen the employment and entrepreneurship capabilities of local residents. We will continue to develop lifelong education programs that enhance the competitiveness of local residents and grow together with the community."
