[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] The Korea Forest Service Central Wildfire Prevention Headquarters announced that the wildfire that occurred around San 110-1, Sanggye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul at 14:12 on the 14th was extinguished in 36 minutes. The forestry authorities deployed 78 wildfire suppression personnel and completed extinguishing the fire at 14:48.

The wildfire is estimated by the forestry authorities to have started on the slopes of Gwiimbong Peak in Suraksan Mountain, resulting in the loss of 0.02 hectares (ha) of forest. The authorities plan to investigate the cause of the wildfire and apprehend the perpetrator in accordance with Article 42 of the Forest Protection Act.
