[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] Rapper Baetsagong (real name Kim Jin-woo, 36) posted a brief apology regarding allegations that he illegally filmed women and shared the footage.
On the 13th, Baetsagong wrote on his Instagram, "I apologize for causing controversy. I will apologize and reflect on the parts where I was wrong."
The wife of rapper Don Mills revealed on her social media on the 10th that rapper A had illegally filmed women he met through direct messages (DMs) and shared the videos with others.
Don Mills' wife wrote, "They only talk about meeting women through DMs? They don’t mention the hidden camera footage shared with others afterward? If they had reflected conscientiously, they wouldn’t have said such things on broadcast. Apparently, there was no such reflection. I hope this stops. I’m increasingly tempted to report this to the police."
She continued, "A close younger sister has all the photos taken like that and the messenger contents sent, and she held back from reporting because she was worried others might be harmed, but saying such things on a broadcast everyone watches means there is no guilt at all. What’s the difference from Jung Joon-young? That younger sister was so distressed she even attempted something extreme," she claimed.
Rapper Baetsagong was identified online as the rapper A in question. He publicly apologized three days after the allegations surfaced.
Meanwhile, Baetsagong, who debuted in 2013, gained attention with his crew Legit Goons’ album "Tanga" and won the Best Rap & Hip Hop award at the Korean Music Awards. He has recently been active appearing on various YouTube channels.
