The matching grant sponsorship is a social contribution activity of Daesung Energy, where the company matches the amount collected when each employee contributes 15,000 KRW monthly.
Since 2015, over 100 employees have participated annually for seven years, continuously supporting projects such as aid for abused children, support for vulnerable local youth, and overseas health and education environment improvement projects in Zambia and Ethiopia.
Yoon Hong-sik, CEO of Daesung Energy, said, “After reviewing various programs to ensure the sincerity of colleagues who donate monthly is used meaningfully, we decided to help grandparent-headed families in welfare blind spots.”
CEO Yoon added, “All employees will practice ESG management to further expand sharing and volunteer activities for neighbors in need in the community.”
Daesung Energy signed a social contribution agreement with the Daegu Red Cross in 2009 and has consistently participated in free meal services, samgyetang sharing, and bread-making volunteer activities every year. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, it has also taken the lead in sharing Dundeun lunch boxes, Matnam lunch boxes, and holiday hope packages.
