Agricultural Technology Center Conducts Basic Training for 2022 Small-Scale Farmers Support Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do recently announced on the 10th that it has promoted basic education for management improvement practice with the purpose of supporting small but competitive farmers through the Small but Strong Farmer (Gangsonong) support project.
The Gangsonong support project is a program aimed at strengthening autonomous and self-reliant capabilities through education on farm management improvement practice, support for autonomous group activities, participation in the Gangsonong Expo, and aims to increase the income of small agricultural management entities with high future growth potential.
This education recruited 15 existing Gangsonong farmers who wished to receive refresher training among new and existing Gangsonong education completers, with many young farmers under the age of 40 participating.
Starting from the 13th, on-site cross coaching will be conducted for Gangsonong participants in the basic education to set management goals and directions, followed by advanced and follow-up education to establish specific management improvement plans.
A county official said, “We hope that the Gangsonong education will serve as an opportunity to strengthen the competitiveness of our county’s Gangsonong farmers and improve their income.”
