[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Samjin Food, the largest fish cake brand in Korea, has opened its second franchise store in Busan, named ‘Busan Myeongji International New City Branch’.
The Samjin Eomukdang Busan Myeongji International New City Branch is located in Myeongji International New City, a representative new city in Busan. Myeongji International New City has abundant hinterland demand including a new port, new airport, and industrial complexes, as well as a wide commercial area with international schools, general hospitals, and department stores.
The ‘Myeongji International New City Branch,’ the eighth store opened by Samjin Eomukdang, is approximately 56㎡ in size. According to Samjin Food, customers can enjoy signature menu items such as fish cake croquettes, fish cake pasta tteokbokki, Bolognese tteokbokki, and spicy rose tteokbokki, as well as four newly released menu items including fish cake twisted doughnuts.
Samjin Eomukdang is also holding an event to celebrate the opening of its second franchise store in Busan. For six days after the opening, visitors will receive a Samjin Eomuk Fisherman’s Bar as a gift.
The brand name ‘Samjin Eomukdang’ was created by adding the character ‘dang’ (堂), meaning ‘hall’ or ‘house,’ to Samjin Eomuk, conveying the meaning of ‘meeting Samjin Eomuk right in front of your home.’
Samjin Eomukdang has established its core values as ‘healthy ingredients,’ ‘healthy texture,’ and ‘healthy taste.’ It features premium fish cakes made with natural ingredient broths such as barley shrimp, dried seaweed, and kelp, SA-grade top-quality fish paste for a chewy texture, and a secret sauce developed with concentrated plum and apple extracts.
Previously, Samjin Food opened its directly managed store ‘Yeoksam Main Branch’ of Samjin Eomukdang, followed by franchise stores: 1st ‘Sejong Boram Branch,’ 2nd ‘Seoul Mia Branch,’ 3rd ‘Gwanggyo Sanghyeon Branch,’ 4th ‘Cheongju Hanaro Branch,’ 5th ‘Cheonan Buldang Branch,’ 6th ‘Pyeongtaek Best One Branch,’ and 7th ‘Busan West Intercity Bus Terminal Branch.’
