Gyeongnam Governor Candidate Park Wansu Listens to Residents' Voices at Communication Space 'Domin Camp' On the 6th, Park Wan-su, candidate for Governor of Gyeongnam Province (fourth from the left), who opened the Provincial Residents' Camp, is taking a commemorative photo with the residents who visited.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Park Wansu, the People Power Party candidate for Governor of Gyeongnam Province, opened the ‘Resident Camp’ on the 6th and is strengthening programs to communicate with residents.

The Resident Camp, set up in Seongsan-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, is open to residents from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., equipped with communication spaces, photo zones, meeting rooms, and rest areas.

It is expected to be used as a space beyond the functions of a conventional election office, where residents can meet the candidate and share their expectations and desired policies.

On the day, Candidate Park cultivated his voter base by holding the Resident Camp opening ceremony and announcing senior citizen-tailored pledges.

Candidate Park first presented medical sector pledges including ▲operation of an emergency medical comprehensive control tower ▲expansion of support targets for implant and shingles vaccination costs.

He said, “The emergency medical comprehensive control tower will be operated with cooperation among the 119 fire center, medical institutions, and administrative agencies to enable rapid transfer and treatment of medical patients,” adding, “Elderly residents in rural fishing villages, who have long distances to medical institutions, will be the first to benefit in emergency situations.”

He also promised to lower the age eligibility for support of implant costs and shingles vaccination from 65 to 60 years old. He announced a plan to support operating expenses for senior leisure facilities such as village halls and senior centers with 100,000 KRW per month.

The candidate’s side also proposed ▲establishment of a rural area job promotion team ▲expansion of social service-type and market-type jobs ▲and the establishment of leading models such as corporate social contribution.

They also announced plans to ▲expand types and hours of senior-tailored care services ▲strengthen the integrated system for senior care and dementia care ▲lay the foundation for spreading life-oriented care using Fourth Industrial Revolution-based technologies ▲and expand emergency safety assurance services and health management projects based on AI-IoT at public health centers.

Candidate Park said, “To support continuous residence in the local community, we will strengthen long-term care services for seniors and improve their quality,” adding, “We will expand home medical centers that can provide integrated medical and care services, strengthen home services, expand public nursing facilities, and improve facilities simultaneously.”

He added, “We focused our pledges on jobs, health, and care support so that seniors can spend a healthy and high-quality old age.”
