Namwon-si, Urban Regeneration University 'Doranggigo Gajaejapja' Recruiting Students

[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-gwon] Namwon City, Jeonbuk announced on the 6th that it will recruit students for the Let's Go Dorang Village Urban Regeneration University "Dorangchigo Gajaejabja" from the 9th to the 19th to revitalize resident organizations and establish a foundation for resident-led urban regeneration projects.

This education will be conducted as a practical training program in which residents directly participate to secure the basic concepts of urban regeneration and housing stability in the target area and to expand the sustainability of future New Deal projects.

The curriculum consists of three subjects: Dorang Village house repair education, garden manager training, and Dorang Village woodworking education.

Civilians who wish to participate can download the application form from the official blog on the city hall website and Namwon City Urban Regeneration Support Center, then visit the Geumdong Urban Regeneration Field Support Center or submit it via email to the Namwon Urban Regeneration Support Center.

An official from the city said, "Through the operation of the Urban Regeneration University 'Dorangchigo Gajaejabja,' we expect residents to develop the capacity to overcome the limitations of the residential environment in areas densely populated with old houses and to cultivate the area themselves," adding, "We hope you will pay attention to the future efforts of the Geumdong Urban Regeneration Field Support Center to enhance community vitality and revitalize the local economy."
