'The Largest Ever Volume' White Paper Covering 5 Years of Moon Jae-in Administration Released... Includes Real Estate and Prosecution Reform [Image source=Yonhap News]

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The government white paper documenting the five years of the Moon Jae-in administration will be released at noon on the 6th.


The white paper titled "Overcoming Crisis with the Great People Toward an Advanced Nation" consists of a total of 22 volumes and 11,944 pages, making it the largest ever compiled.


The COVID-19 response section is separately organized and detailed, and in addition to the fields of economy, society, diplomacy, and defense, it also includes investments for future generations, the second venture boom and new industry future growth engines, the Korean New Deal and carbon neutrality, real estate policies, the president's diary and quotes, and personnel appointments.


The section on prosecutorial reform, which attracted particular attention, is titled "Reform of Power Institutions for the People" and describes the progress made so far.


The white paper can be easily accessed by anyone in e-book format on the Blue House website and the "Korea Policy Briefing" platform. Additionally, 3,000 printed copies of the government white paper will be distributed starting from the 9th to 1,172 public libraries nationwide and major public institution resource centers.


Jo Dae-yeop, chairman of the government white paper compilation committee, stated in the foreword, "We aimed to faithfully capture the five years of the Moon Jae-in administration in the 22 volumes of the white paper," adding, "The achievements belong entirely to the people, and the shortcomings are the government's responsibility."
