[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dobong-gu (Mayor Lee Dong-jin) held various Children's Day events throughout the district on the 5th to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Children's Day.
On Haedeung-ro 4-gil, a 360m section from Chang 1-dong Community Center to Changdong Raemian Apartment, vehicle traffic was restricted, and the large-scale event "2022 Dobong-gu Children's Day Festival, Kids Let's Play! In the Forest Village!" was held.
At Dooly Museum in Ssangmun-dong, the "Character Festival with Dooly Museum" took place, and at Dobong-gu Citizen Hall, the "2022 Gaerneunal 1st Dog-in-hae for Pets" was held for companion dogs.
Lee Dong-jin, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "I am pleased to meet the children face-to-face again and spend a joyful time on the 100th Children's Day. Dobong-gu, certified as a child-friendly city by UNICEF, recognizes children as subjects of rights and strives to respect them as complete individuals. Dobong-gu will continue to do its best to ensure that children can grow up safely and healthily."
On the 4th, a day before Children's Day, the '100-Minute Playground' opened at Solsup Children's Park in Jeongneung-dong, Seongbuk-gu, where children are enjoying playing.
On the 5th, to celebrate Children's Day, Seongbuk-gu, Korea's first UNICEF-certified child-friendly city, transformed the entire district into an amusement park.
The child and youth facilities operated by the district, including ▲ five Seongbuk-gu play spaces ▲ Wolgok Youth Center ▲ Seongbuk Cultural House ▲ Jangwi Youth Culture Nuri Center ▲ Youth Counseling Welfare Center, each opened experience zones, play zones, food zones, and photo zones to captivate children's hearts.
In addition to air bounces and trampolines tailored to children's eye levels, meaningful family month activities such as family photo shoots, family singing contests, and bubble play that the whole family can enjoy were prepared.
Even after Children's Day, programs commemorating the 100th Children's Day can be participated in. "I_Just_Want_to_Play," held in collaboration with the Seongbuk Cultural Foundation, continues at locations throughout Seongbuk-gu such as Arirang Children's Library, Seongbuk Children's Art Museum Kkumjaram, and Arirang Cine Center.
