Calling all Jjanggu fans! I am a true Jjangduke! When asked why I like Jjanggu, I don’t really know how to answer. They say there’s no reason needed to like something. The fact that I’m still laughing heartily while watching Jjanggu is proof enough. Another proof is that I visit anywhere Jjanggu is. This time, I went to the Jjanggu Festival held on the 6th floor of Yongsan I'Park Mall.

You can meet Jjanggu at Popcorn D Square in the Kids Zone on the 6th floor of Yongsan I'Park Mall. Even if you don’t participate in the Jjanggu Festival, many people find it cute and take photos standing next to the statue of Heedungi. Due to its popularity, the event has been extended until the 29th, so if you visit Yongsan I'Park Mall, it’s worth taking some time to check it out.

Follow the stairs up to the entrance of the Jjanggu Festival. You can exchange pre-booked tickets or pay on-site. Show your ticket at the station gate, sanitize your hands, and enter, but wait a moment first!

Be sure to take this paper with Jjanggu’s face drawn on it! You can even use Jjanggu’s face instead of your own when taking photos.

Finally, entry complete! From the moment you step in, every spot is a photo zone. This year’s concept is ‘Jjanggu, Let’s Go Camping!’ You get to enjoy camping with the Jjanggu family in the mountains. Every corner is beautifully decorated without missing a single detail.

Camping means food, right? The delicious-looking food on the grill, combined with Jjanggu snacks and Samyang ramen, really sets the camping mood. The details are so vivid that it made me even more excited and happy. There are actual camping chairs set up, so it really feels like you’re at a real campsite.

I took a lot of photos without missing any spots. I recommend visiting with a partner or friends to take photos in various poses rather than alone. Some people even brought tripods, which I envied (sniff).

Can’t you feel the tranquility on the faces of the Jjanggu family enjoying the open-air hot spring in the mountains? It’s a moment when you want to become part of the Jjanggu family.

The stir-fried udon at the outdoor food truck zone looked so real... One of the great things about the Jjanggu Festival was meeting various characters. Not only the main characters but also the kindergarten teacher, friends, relatives, and many others appeared, making it feel very authentic.

After taking about nnn photos, you can enjoy games at the outdoor experience zone. After clearing each game, show the stamp on the back of the Jjanggu face paper you received at entry to the staff, and you’ll get one random sticker. The five games with Jjanggu’s friends are ‘Throw rings on the tree with Cheolsu,’ ‘Go camping with Jjanggu,’ ‘Play ping pong with Yuri,’ ‘Match Chocobi with Hooni,’ and finally

‘Throw stones with Maenggu.’ The game descriptions are exactly as they appear in the Jjanggu episodes, making it even more immersive.

At the ticket booth, the notice says “No re-entry allowed!” I thought it would be over once I went through the black curtain, but I lost count of how many laps I took inside. It was that fun, with plenty of photo spots, and it felt like returning to childhood innocence.

When I mustered the courage to open the black curtain, I found a night camping site complete with fireflies. Until then, the Jjanggu theme song was playing, and the sound effects were so well done that you could really feel the night air. And what’s camping without a campfire? The bonfire was perfectly recreated, making me reluctant to leave.

Once you barely escape the camping zone, various experiences await. You can make Jjanggu goods yourself, such as hand mirrors and mood lamps.

You can’t miss the Jjanggu goods shop! They sell dolls, stickers, memo pads, and camping-themed items like cups, blankets, and lamps. If you love Jjanggu and enjoy camping, this is a must-visit! The most unique and eye-catching item was the grip tok for phones, which you can customize in shape, and some even have mirrors on the back. Many people grabbed one each.

As the saying goes, even Geumgangsan Mountain is best enjoyed after a meal, so DrinKit couldn’t just visit the popup store. Our real goal was the Jjanggu Cafe! You don’t need to pay an entrance fee to use this cafe; it’s open to the public. The signature menu is a drink topped with a printed image of Jjanggu’s face, but unfortunately, the machine was broken on the day of my visit, so it wasn’t available.

The takoyaki here tastes better than most food trucks. The generous katsuobushi, mayonnaise, and large octopus pieces were perfectly balanced. The manju with Jjanggu’s face had too little cream inside, which was a bit disappointing. But it’s cute enough to forgive, haha. Chocobi is one of the things that come to mind when you think of Jjanggu, so no further explanation is needed. The menu is diverse, including Jjanggu butt-shaped pudding and kirimochi, so everyone can enjoy according to their preference.
