[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Amid various public implementation projects continuing under the Korean-style New Deal project, CityLabs, a smart city integrated platform company, is continuing its series of contract wins.
CityLabs announced on the 4th that it recently won the contract for Suwon City's ‘Korean-style New Deal Eco-friendly Water Circulation Smart Parking Lot Construction Project.’ Suwon City is one of the 10 local government project sites selected under the ‘2022 Smart City Innovation Technology Discovery Project’ led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, aimed at solving urban problems through the spread of cutting-edge solutions.
As the lead operator of a consortium consisting of a total of four companies and institutions, CityLabs plans to lead the smart parking paradigm by implementing innovative technologies in this project, which involves a total budget of 1.9 billion KRW, including ▲installation of ‘Smart Car Stopper’ supporting functions such as vehicle detection, pedestrian detection and guidance, parking line guidance, and electric vehicle charging ▲construction of a ‘Smart Parking Platform’ operated entirely through non-face-to-face reservation and payment methods ▲establishment of an ‘Eco-friendly Parking System’ based on permeable blocks.

Through the selection as a project operator for Suwon City, CityLabs will be responsible for two projects among the 2022 Smart City Innovation Technology Discovery Projects conducted in 10 local governments. CityLabs also recently won the contract for Daegu City's Intelligent Urban Safety Platform Construction Project, which is known as one of the target sites of the Smart City Innovation Technology Discovery Project.
