[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The National Health Insurance Service is conducting a prize event to encourage automatic payment and electronic notification applications for the four major social insurances?health insurance, national pension, employment insurance, and industrial accident insurance?in response to the increasing demand for non-face-to-face services.

For regional subscribers, applications for automatic payment and electronic notification of the four major insurances can be made through the Service's mobile app, ‘The Geongangboheom’ (The Health Insurance).

By scanning the QR code on the poster, applicants are directed to the application form and can apply immediately after logging in with a joint certificate or financial certificate. Workplaces can apply online via the Social Insurance Integrated Collection Portal or EDI.

Additionally, applications can be submitted through various methods such as calling the customer center or the relevant branch office, mail, fax, or using the Service’s website.

Automatic payment for the four major insurances can be applied for via bank account or credit card, and if the payment is completed through automatic transfer, a premium reduction benefit ranging from 200 to 250 KRW per insurance can be received.

For regional health insurance, if the previous month’s premium is fully paid via automatic transfer, a 200 KRW discount is applied to the current month’s premium; for regional pension, a 230 KRW discount is given when the current month’s premium is fully paid via automatic transfer; and for employment and industrial accident insurance, a 250 KRW discount is applied respectively.

The automatic payment date can be designated as either ‘the last day of each month’ or ‘the 10th of the following month’ (premium payment deadline). If there is insufficient balance on the last day causing partial or no withdrawal of the premium, a re-withdrawal will be attempted on the 10th of the following month (premium payment deadline).

Electronic notification is a convenient method to receive billing details via email, mobile, EDI, or the Social Insurance Integrated Collection Portal. Sensitive personal information is securely protected, and concerns about undelivered or lost mail are eliminated.

Electronic notification statements can be checked for any desired month at any time. When regional health insurance premiums or regional and workplace pension insurance premium statements are received by email, an additional monthly discount of 200 KRW is granted separately from the automatic payment discount.

This prize event runs from May 2 to June 10 and targets workplaces and regional subscribers who newly apply for both automatic payment and electronic notification of the four major social insurance premiums. A total of 300 winners will be drawn to receive a circulator (air circulator) as a gift.

Applicants who apply for automatic payment and electronic notification during the period will be automatically entered into the draw. The results will be announced on June 23 through the Service’s website and the Social Insurance Integrated Collection Portal.
