Shinsegae L&B Expands into Overseas Markets with Jeju Fruit Soju

[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] Shinsegae Group's liquor specialist company, Shinsegae L&B, announced on the 3rd that it plans to produce export-oriented fruit soju at the Jeju Soju Factory in Wasan-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju City next month.

The upcoming product will be produced in collaboration with a Southeast Asian liquor distribution company and will have a low alcohol content of 12%. The product name and the fruit flavor to be added have not yet been decided. Shinsegae L&B plans to produce 10 million bottles of fruit soju this year and export them to Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, Singapore, and Thailand.

A Shinsegae L&B official stated, "Fruit soju matches the preferences of the Southeast Asian MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), who favor sweet flavors and low alcohol content," adding, "We will promote the product with Jeju's clean brand image and lay the foundation for growth as a comprehensive liquor distribution specialist company."
