Jeju Fire Station Conducts Safety Training for Disabled Vocational Trainees

[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Jeju Fire Station (Chief Ko Jae-woo) announced on the 3rd that it conducted fire safety education for disabled vocational trainees at the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled Jeju Customized Training Center.

The education was organized to improve the safety accident response capabilities of people with disabilities who are vulnerable to disaster situations due to physical and mental limitations, and to prevent safety accidents that may occur in the workplace.

The main educational content included how to report to 119, how to use a fire extinguisher, fire evacuation procedures, CPR, and automated external defibrillator training, allowing participants to experience initial response methods for various disaster situations.

Chief Ko Jae-woo said, “We will continue to promote experiential fire safety education repeatedly so that people with disabilities, who are vulnerable to disasters, can safely demonstrate their abilities in the workplace alongside the general public.”

Applications for on-site fire safety education can be made by contacting the Prevention and Safety Division of Jeju Fire Station.
