[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Pohang City, Gyeongbuk, will hold a special lecture by author Jeong Bora, who wrote "The Curse Rabbit," a finalist in the International category of the 2022 UK Booker Prize, on the 14th at 10:30 AM at the first floor Eoulmaru of Poeun Central Library.


The Booker Prize, for which author Jeong Bora was a finalist, is the most prestigious literary award in the UK, established in 1969 by the British company Booker.


The award selects winning novels written in English by Commonwealth authors, and in 2005, an "International category" was created for novels written by authors outside the Commonwealth region.


This special lecture will cover Korean popular culture and the science fiction novel "The Curse Rabbit." Detailed schedules and information can be found on the Pohang City Library website and social media channels.


Applications will be accepted from 10 AM on the 4th via the Pohang City Library website, and related inquiries can be made to the city library.


A city official said, "We are honored to host a special lecture with author Jeong Bora, who was a finalist in the Booker Prize International category," adding, "As she is a recently trending author, we hope many citizens will take interest and participate in the lecture."
