BizNep Offers Free Management App Supporting Small Business Owners
Following Naver Investment, Planned Application for Naver Store Partners
Selvas AI Receives 'Love Call' from Large Corporations with Voice Recognition Technology
Marketing with AI Technology... Triplett's 'Deep Lounge'
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups that quickly respond to consumer needs and market changes based on information and communication technology (ICT) are receiving love calls from large corporations. While large corporations are independently developing unmanned technologies, they are also preparing for the unmanned era through investments in SMEs and startups.
Their collaboration pursues a "win-win" outcome. SMEs secure stable sales channels through large corporations, and large corporations can increase market dominance by proactively adopting new technologies. A startup industry insider said, "Large corporations are reaching out to startups that enhance customer convenience based on advanced technology and keep pace with changes in industrial structure," adding, "Large corporations can also save manpower and resources required to promote new businesses." Large corporations are focusing on unmanned industries that assist or replace human tasks. They have paid attention to services that automate management tasks for one-person companies, solutions that analyze the age and movement paths of store visitors for marketing purposes, and artificial intelligence (AI) voice and handwriting recognition technologies.
◆Naver’s chosen management app ‘BZNAV’= G Enterprise provides the management service for small and medium-sized business owners, ‘BZNAV’, free of charge. CEO Seongbong Lee developed the service by learning coding himself based on his work experience as an accountant. He felt sorry seeing small business owners who started up with fresh ideas and technical skills struggle with insufficient tax knowledge and complicated accounting tasks. BZNAV handles various management tasks such as tax and accounting on behalf of business operators so they can focus on their core business and save on taxes. It also provides estimated tax reports for value-added tax, comprehensive income tax, corporate tax, etc., based on transaction data such as sales and purchases. Currently, BZNAV is offered free to 150,000 business sites, with plans to expand to 3 million by 2025.
G Enterprise received a total investment of 6 billion KRW from Naver and Naver Financial. This is the first case of joint investment by Naver and Naver Financial. The two companies are collaborating to provide BZNAV services to Naver’s registered sellers within this year. CEO Lee stated, "We plan to not only strengthen existing tax and financial management functions but also offer a diverse service lineup through continuous investment and research and development."
◆Specialized in various voice and handwriting recognition... Selvas AI= Selvas AI, a KOSDAQ-listed AI and voice technology specialist company, is well known for its active exchanges with large corporations and public institutions. Its ‘Selvy Note’, which can record multi-party conversations, is installed on Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering’s smart ships. It automatically converts voice communication into text to reduce communication errors and support safe navigation. Recently, Selvy Note has also been used in investigations of sexual violence and child abuse cases. CEO Hangseop Lee of Selvas AI’s business division explained, "It used to take a long time to convert voice to text," adding, "Real-time text conversion has enabled empathy between investigators and victims and strengthened information security."
‘Selvy Pen’, which converts handwriting into digital text, boasts a recognition rate of over 97%. It recognizes not only languages but also formulas, shapes, and the stroke order of Korean handwriting. It is applied in various fields such as preventing incomplete sales of financial products (Shinhan Bank), automotive navigation (Hyundai Motor), and children’s dictation education (Woongjin ThinkBig).
The AI audio production service ‘Selvy Voice’, which can create voice and video content from text, also counts several telecom and financial companies such as SK Telecom and KB Kookmin Bank as clients. Additionally, the AI healthcare solution ‘Selvy Checkup’ predicts the risk of major diseases based on users’ health checkup information. It is actively used by insurance companies, hospitals, and screening centers.
◆Analyzing visitors for marketing use... Triplelet’s ‘Deep Lounge’= Founded in 2015, Triplelet provides the AI retail platform service ‘Deep Lounge’. Deep Lounge has three main functions: a store analysis solution that identifies visitor gender, age, movement paths, and purchase patterns; an unmanned store solution that enables inventory checking and self-checkout; and a personalization service solution that implements one-to-one customized recommendations. Due to contractual reasons, the company name cannot be disclosed, but the solutions are supplied to the two largest convenience store chains and large supermarkets in Korea. CEO Donghwa Shin of Triplelet said, "The platform’s unique competitiveness lies in its role of linking data analysis results to actual marketing, such as displaying customized product advertisements."
Using the Deep Lounge platform, CCTV inside stores analyzes visitor characteristics such as face and body shape to extract gender and age groups. It also analyzes how long visitors stayed at each display, which items they picked up or actually purchased, enabling efficient product placement and marketing strategies. The platform analyzes customers’ fashion styles to recommend products of interest on kiosks and provides virtual fitting. This technology is applied in two department store branches of the women’s clothing specialty store ‘Mill Studio’. CEO Shin said, "We will develop this beyond simple data analysis into a solution that helps business owners increase sales," adding, "We plan to optimize the system to assist many SMEs after enhancing reliability through cooperation with large corporations."
