Shilla Duty Free Collaborates with Incheon Airport Corporation
First 'Mobile Service' Opens at Incheon Airport Duty Free Delivery Counter
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Shilla Duty Free is launching a 'Mobile Queue Ticketing Service for Duty-Free Goods Pickup' to enhance convenience for overseas travelers.
Starting from the 3rd, Shilla Duty Free announced that in collaboration with Incheon International Airport Corporation, it will be the first duty-free shop to open a 'Mobile Queue Ticketing Service' at the pickup area, allowing customers to check the number of people waiting and issue queue tickets via mobile.
The mobile queue ticketing service is a non-face-to-face convenience service that provides ▲issuance of waiting number tickets at the duty-free goods pickup area ▲real-time guidance on the number of people waiting for duty-free goods pickup. It is available through the Shilla Duty Free mobile application (app).
When a customer scheduled to pick up duty-free goods is near the pickup area, a Bluetooth location information device called a 'beacon' installed throughout Incheon Airport automatically detects and activates the service. Customers who have downloaded the Shilla Duty Free mobile app and allowed notifications will receive a signal, check the number of people waiting, and issue a queue ticket.
Shilla Duty Free expects that the opening of the 'Mobile Queue Ticketing Service' will reduce congestion at the pickup area and help improve customer convenience by eliminating the time customers have to wait in line.
This service will be expanded to other duty-free shops following its launch at Shilla Duty Free.
